It's so unfortunate that spamming has basically ruined the web in my opinion. There was a wave of automated comment spamming that was occurring in the article comments as well as the club submission form.
We have some nice spam-countermeasures in place, but nothing is fool proof. We did see some 'jibberish' test comments that made it past, and I apologize to the user that wanted to receive notifications of comments and viewed that. We work hard to try to prevent this, but the spammers work just as hard.
To remedy this further, we've implemented human verification code to determine if you're a human or a spam bot, this will help stop additional spam, but we will need to keep a very close eye on the situation.
I greatly appreciate all the support that we have been given and want to thank everyone for their patience!!!
