Im using this 16" drain shovel I had laying around for digging my plugs. Its on the large size but it can make a nice deep, neat plug if you need it. I like it! But I would not use it on someone's nice lawn, Im sure it may scare them :eek: But for other areas it seems good for when you need your body weight to push down and its long enough to get more depth as needed.
I know there are relic shovels out there but have not seen one with a blade this long and they start at $50. For $20 at Lowes you can get this shovel, not really made for our hobby but it works if you can get away with it.
