I went to a park that was established in the late 20s. I've lived in this town for over ten years, but have never detected this park. It seems to be alittle out of the way. Yesterday I thought I'd give it a shot, thinking maybe it's out-of-the-way for all the other detectorists out there throughout the years.
Every park in my city is pretty much 'hunted out'. You're doing great if you're able to pull one keeper from there each hunt, but multiple find days have been long gone.
I was alittle short on time, so I was able to hunt the park for about an hour, but pulled two wheaties (1939 S and 1941 D). I think this park has great potential. Those wheats rang clear (not iffy by any means)... so now my optimism of this park is pretty high. I'd love to pull a silver or two out of there. It's been almost 30 days since I seen the shine of silver.. and I'm dying to see some again.
