Default Fisher F75 - 01-19-2008, 07:44 AM

So, I'm surprised that I'm the first one to post on this forum. How his the F75. All the reviews look real good. So how are the real reviews? Any users using them? Any users that had DFX/XLT, Explorer and then went to F75? Any obvious advantages/disadvantages?

I was hearing that there was some kind of patent infringement with Minelab regarding the multi frequency handling? Anyone have any additional information about this?

I'm mainly asking, because a friend of mine is looking to get a high end detector, and that might be an interesting direction to go, but I'm unfamiliar with it.

Thanks!

Had the detector for about a two week period and can't say enough about it. It's hard when the first target you pull is a 5.5 gram gold star of David. Then a few swings later a gold plated ring! So I'm thinking it's going to be like my ole MXT was (gold and nickle magnet) but with the goody's we all wanted. The backlight for those evening hunts, Larger Numbers, depth meter on the fly, ferrous meter all the time (not just in prospecting mode), ground balancing with a flip of the toggle, and Light weight with batteries that last for ever. I love'd the MXT but man, this is just hands down a much better unit, by all means. Oh and did I mention the fastest recovery I have ever heard, seen, and had the pleasure to get to work in my favor. Was in some park trash and after pumping up the F75 a bit, I was able to weed out a couple of silver rosie's (1959-1955) that have been there for awhile (something the MXT lacked for me, no silvers). Was extremly impressed as the targets came at 8 and 10" (one with the DD, one with the teeney concentric). I'd recommend it to anyone, as did I the MXT. Dave Johnson has done it again.
